Cheles Cantabrana Alútiz
Cheles Cantabrana Alútiz is Doctor in Sociology of Public and Social Policies; graduated in Cultural and Social Anthropology; University Expert in Social Exclusion, Integration and Citizenship. Her training and social vocation go hand in hand and since January 2016 she is president of the Spanish Alzheimer's Confederation (CEAFA).
She came to CEAFA from AFEDAZ, the Association of relatives of people with Alzheimer's in Zaragoza, an entity with which she started to collaborate in 2000, since she knocked at their door to get answers about their mother’s disease. She is currently president of AFEDAZ and the Aragonese Alzheimer Federation (Alzheimer Aragón). Representing CEAFA, she is a member of the Board or Permanent Member of different institutions, including the State Council for the Elderly. In Aragon, she belongs to the Permanent Council of the Aragonese Council for the Elderly, the City Council and the Community Health Council.
